"The journey of each Chakapa begins in our own garden, where the bamboo leaves were harvested over two years ago. We selected and cut each leaf individually, arranging them with care to ensure a rich, resonant sound. They were then laid flat under a heavy weight and left to dry slowly, preserving their natural spirit and texture.

When we felt the time was right, we wove in the elements: soft fur, delicate feathers, and genuine gemstones.

In deep respect for nature, we source our feathers and fur ethically—taking only from animals we find on the roads, never from hunting. Before we take what we need, we hold a small ceremony to give thanks and ask permission. This ensures that every piece we create carries a vibration of gratitude, honoring the cycle of life.

ᐳᐳᐳᐳᐳ This particular Chakapa carries a grounded energy. The handle is wrapped in a soft, durable real leather band, chosen for its earthy warmth and lasting strength. Wrapped around this leather is an intricate macrame weave which secures a striking genuine Turquoise (approx. 25x18mm).

This Turquoise is vivid, clear sky-blue and is cherished as a stone of protection, clear communication, and spiritual attunement. Its presence here adds a vibrant anchor to the instrument's sound.

To soften the piece and honor the animal kingdom, we have added a delicate tuft of rabbit fur—ethically sourced, as always, with gratitude. The fur brings a gentle, tactile contrast to the sturdy leather and cool stone, reminding us of the tenderness within nature's cycle.
